Welcome to our 2020/2021 Season

We’re excited to begin our second season on the grounds of La Merced Chapel and Corpus Christi Church, centrally located in the “West Wynwood” neighborhood of Allapattah.

Ever mindful of pandemic challenges, we are trying a new Live Music Drive-In format for our first concert this year. We hope this is a new way to stay safe but still connected.

Volunteers from all of the partners in this endeavor are working hard like Martha-of-Bethany to bring you the Mary-of-Bethany spirit, a community speaking the universal language of beautiful music. We are a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation, which enables us to keep our costs to a minimum. We welcome your support – all donations, small or large, are most appreciated.

About the Live Music Drive-In Concert

The Drive-In Concert format allows our audience to experience live music in the company of a community of music lovers  – while following the best practices for social distancing and safety.

Enter the parking area at NW 7th Avenue, just south of 34th Street.

Tickets bought in advance (and sent by internet or mailed to ticket buyers) can be shown to our volunteers through the car window. Your ticket entitles you to one car (no buses please). Only those in a car with a ticket will be admitted.

Volunteers will direct guests to the next available parking lane. Cars should park with one space between them – they will be marked accordingly and volunteers will assist.  NOTE: There are no reserved spaces, so if you want to park near a friend, try to arrive together!

Folding chairs may be set up next to your car, in your vacant space.  Please do not mingle with other groups. You may bring food and beverages. Please no alcohol or glass containers. Please clean up your area at the end of the concerts.

Restrooms are located at the back of the main church, with outside entrances. Please wear masks and observe social distancing in the restrooms and on the way to and from them.

Because of best practices, there will be no intermission or after-concert reception.  We hope to be able to resume these very soon.

In case of rain, concert will move inside main church, with proper distancing observed.

October 18 will be the first ever such concert at this venue, and in the MMC series.   We’ll learn a lot and hope to make each outdoor event even better – for our guests and our volunteers – so we’ll appreciate your constructive comments afterwards.
