Together they fulfill Nestor’s long-time dream of uniting classical masterpieces with creative jazz, each complementing the other in a special holiday performance building on their sold-out April performance in Santo Domingo. Alumnus and pride of MMC’s STARBURST CONCERTS! Since his appearance with us in 2018, Brandon Goldberg has issued two albums (both in Downbeat Magazine’s top albums of 2019 and 2020), has performed at Newport, Litchfield and Caramoor Jazz Festivals, and has played at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Dizzy’s Club, Birdland, The Blue Note, Mezzrow, The Apollo Theater, the Side Door in Old Lyme, and Keystone Korner. In Miami, he has been a featured performer with The Miami Symphony Orchestra and the Jazz Roots Series at Adrienne Arsht Center.

This incomparable quartet appeared with MMC ten+ years ago and we have sought their return ever since. With a repertoire ranging from Bach to contemporary works, the award-winning ISQ is one of the longest-running groups currently performing on the world stage. Sharing their infectious love of music with adoring audiences from New York to Moscow and Athens to Tokyo, they have performed the world premieres of many eminent composers including Arvo Pärt, Philip Glass, Luciano Berio, Salvatore Sciarrino, Franco Donatoni, Henri Pousseur, and Joe Harnell.
