An afternoon of musical excellence featuring spiritual settings for two pianos by Florence Price; the wild and wonderful Variations on “America” by Charles Ives; selections from the Gershwin Songbook arranged for two pianos by Paul Posnak; several works of Aaron Copland; danzones and canciones by Ernesto Lecuona, and George Gershwin’s own two-piano arrangement of “An American in Paris.”

Starburst Concert
Featuring two outstanding young South Florida musicians on their way to professional careers. Gianna Beckford,principal violist at Dillard High School now studying at FIU, performed alongside New World Symphony, among many major achievements. Clarinetist Nihar Bhavsar, now studying at FSU, has performed at Carnegie Hall, Sala Sao Paulo, the Kravis Center, and as principal clarinetist at Equity Arc National Pathways Festival Orchestra in Washington DC.

An afternoon of Venezuelan, Colombian and Argentinian folk music honoring the richness of Latin roots across borders.
